Salt Lick is situated in the midst of Taita hills sanctuary a
private sanctuary of 28,000 acres bordering Tsavo West National
Park.
The Salt Lick Lodge is a unique lodge built atop stilts overlooking
a waterhole. It is linked by suspended walkways under which
elephants potter. Its name is taken from its setting - a natural
salt lick which was a congregating place for the neighborhood's
salt-hungry residents.
All rooms at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge are equipped with
ensuite bathrooms with permanent showers and WC, running hot & cold
water and 240V power. Rooms at the Lodge are on two levels with
double, twin or triple beds depending on room type.
All rooms have
views of watering holes and are interconnected by suspended
walkways. . The rooms are luxuriously furnished with well appointed
bathrooms.
Saltlick Lodges has a bars and restaurants which overlook the
watering holes and the surrounding grasslands.
On request bush
breakfast and dinners are set at Kudu Point, the highest location in
the Sanctuary. Experience a barbeque in the wild, accompanied by a
trio of local musicians. For guests who want to enjoy longer game
drives, the lodge offers a picnic hamper with light meals and
beverages.
